Olympic cheats have come up with yet another way to enhance their performance at this years Olympics in Beijing: Inserting drugs through tattoo needles increases the effect of drugs, meaning athletes can take smaller doses and “fly under the radar” in dope tests. Research in Germany has shown that delivering DNA vaccines via tattoo was 16 times more effective than injecting through the muscles or veins as the vibrating tattoo needle prepares the body’s immune system and increases the body’s response to the drug. Cheating athletes are also combining the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra with doses of nitrous oxide, or laughing gas. Both drugs increase the flow of oxygen in the blood stream and therefore boost sporting performance.

‘we (blink)’ designed by swiss company sigma6 is an interactive system designed for shop windows. the system reacts by lighting up geometric shapes, when people walk past the panel. not only will it be displayed in front of you, but it will also be transmitted to other windows around the world. sigma6 focusses on visual performances and aims to change the way we look at screens, walls and monuments.

The U.S. military has a goal — that it’s 30% robotic in twelve years. Why? Because robots don’t feel pain, and when they die you just solder them back together or build a bitchin’ chair out of the scrap metal.

While advances in robot technology will probably result in more radical robot designs and allow for the military’s goal of a 30-percent robotic force, there will always be human involvement in the control process. Researcher Bill Smart had this to say about our future robot army:

“It’s a chain of command thing. You don’t want to give autonomy to a weapons delivery system. You don’t want the robot to make the wrong decision.”

We’re saddened to convey the latest reports from Italy on the untimely passing of Andrea Pininfarina. Andrea Pininfarina, head of the eponymous design studio, was the son of Sergio Pininfarina and grandson of the carrozzeria’s founder Battista “Pinin” Farina.

Eşref Armağan is a blind painter of Turkish origin. He was born blind to a poor family in Turkey, and has been drawing or painting since childhood. He has had exhibitions in Turkey and in Holland and the Czech Republic.

It is really amazing how this blind guy developed a unique technique of creating pictures without ever having seen the subject matter but a total a**hole for thinking that his paintings actually kind of suck???
