Can you remember what you were doing on January 28th 1986? I can. I was watching the space shuttle Challenger take off and blow up after 73 of flight. The crew of 7, including the first civilian in space (if they would have made it) teacher Christa McAuliffe, all died instantly. It is a black day in the history of NASA and shuttle launches were stopped for several years. Recently new amateur footage of the launch and explosion came to light and you can check it ot here.

Currently out on a promotional tour for his role in the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, the actor formerly known as James Bond, or rather, Pierce Brosnan, still has two other films due out this year (Roman Polanski’s Ghost Writer and Allen Coulter’s Remember Me). Meanwhile, according to ComingSoon, it seems progress is still being made on the potential sequel to Brosnan’s 1999 action/heist movie The Thomas Crown Affair. Brosnan said of development on the project, “We’ve got the fourth script in and this is the closest we’ve gotten in structure to making sense. It’s very, very hard.”
