camouflageA 56-year-old man was slightly injured after being hit by a car at the corner of South Winooski and Bank streets Sunday, said Burlington police.

Police said they responded to the scene at about 6:47 p.m. to find the pedestrian in the road, and the driver of the car that hit him standing by.

According to witnesses, the man, who was wearing camouflage clothing, was not in a crosswalk and walking against the light when he tried to cross South Winooski Avenue.

The man was taken to Fletcher Allen Health Care, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The driver of the car was not injured.
