Cannabis users will face £80 on-the-spot fines under a crackdown announced today by the Home Office.
The fines will apply to any person caught twice in possession of cannabis and will come into effect in January when the drug is upgraded to a class B substance.

£80 for smokeing in public seems fine, its really not that much, and probably covers the cost of the buracracy.
Dunno about the jump from 80GBP to a jail sentance the next time though, that seems a bit of an odd leap.

How do these people get these jobs ?… Why ?….. when a report has just been published by the UK drug policies for the UN, does the home secretary think that by completely ignoring all of the advice given she is doing the right thing. To return cannabis back to a class B………….. Is absolute nonsense. For goodness sake woman Read the report, listen to what most of the general public want, which is regulation on cannabis.
How can you go wrong, It will be a win win situation for users and goverment alike, saving precious rescources on a fruitless war on drugs, whilst getting a hefty tax on sales…..
What you need to be putting under the spot light is alcohol, no class ?
