PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has asked Ben & Jerry’s to change the way it makes ice cream.
The animal rights group sent the Vermont based ice cream company a letter asking it to start using human breast milk instead of cow’s milk.
PETA says cow’s milk has been linked to juvenile diabetes, allergies, constipation, obesity, and prostate and ovarian cancer.

I have always loved cow’s milk. I drink maybe 2 gallons by myself in a week or so. I am 44 and have none of things mentioned above.
I’m also not fucked in the head like these PETA people are.

What on earth does PETA hope to achieving by asking this sort of thing? It just makes them look mad.
As long as your part of the human population with the correct ensimes, then cow milk is still good for you over your adult life.
If your not part of that populaion, then breast milk probably wouldnt be any better….you lose the ability to process it after your young.
The irony of this statement is a lot of good vegatarian food is a based on dairy products.
I can picture myself not eating meat. But not eating meat and chesse and ice cream and yogaurt ? No pizza’s? No butter on my bread?
Insane.

how unsurprising that Edqueerdo and Dickflame, the two most laughable posters on this site, would chime in with their typically ill-informed opinions…
humans have ZERO nutritional requirements for meat or dairy-based foods. study after study has shown that the less meat and dairy one eats, the healthier one is, and maximum health is achieved when animal-based food consumption drops all the way down to zero.
now i never go around telling people what to eat, because i honestly don’t give a shit what other people do (eat all the meat you want– it just leaves more tofu for me). however, i don’t fault PeTA for trying to educate people about the fact that cow’s milk is not the slightest bit good for humans (and that’s all this “human breast milk” publicity stunt is about– they don’t honestly expect anyone to start making ice cream from mama milk, obviously). most people, especially poorly educated ones, hold it as a given that cow’s milk is a healthy food, but it isn’t (not even close). something like 90% of humans are lactose-intolerant (to varying degrees), which seems to be a pretty good indication that it’s not something that we as a species are supposed to be consuming, and PeTA is just trying to get the word out. it’s not easy to counter the dairy industry’s enormous advertising budget, so PeTA has to resort to crazy publicity stunts in order to get media coverage.
so yeah, the idea of making ice cream out of human breast milk is silly and stupid, but that’s the whole point. it’s no more silly and stupid than making it out of cow’s milk.

Namenlos:
If it was their idea to show how “silly and stupid” it is to make ice cream from cow’s milk. Why did it take a name-less poster on attuworld.com to figure it out.
Their marketing campaign is clearly a failure because you seem to be the only one that has figured it out.
I don’t necessarily disagree with you on the whole, we probably shouldn’t be drinking milk situation.

Maybe I missed he point but if we’re so stupid not to have seen it, they should have come up with a better way of getting it across.
I’ve heard that to get cow’s milk they have to keep the cows pregnant and they slaughter the calves and don’t even use them most of the time. Some kind of campaign enlightening this act might have been a better way to go. Though, I don’t think PETA has any ability to be subtle.
