The moon has been in plain view for all of human history, but it’s only within the past few decades that it’s been possible to travel there. And for just about as long as the moon has been within reach, people have been arguing about lunar property rights: Can astronauts claim the moon for king and country, as in the Age of Discovery? Are corporations allowed to expropriate its natural resources, and individuals to own its real estate?

the moon should belong to anyone who can live there self-sufficiently without a space suit or artificial environment or anything like that. anyone who can’t do that and still thinks they have some sort of “right” to try to lay claim to it and rape its resources deserves to fuck themselves while being rocketed into the sun.
and no, it doesn’t belong to the netherlands. you guys already have all the best tulips. you can’t have the moon too. that just wouldn’t be fair.
jeez! you dutch and your rampant imperialism. first you try to claim new york, now the moon… you better watch it, or the next thing you know, you’re gonna have some random czech nutcase with a dutch name all pissed off at you.

The big question is: do people live on the moon? And if so, how do we go about belittling their culture and exterminating them?

The moon should be divided up between every person on earth. 6.5-7 billion people, thats gota still be quite a bit each.
I’m actualy deadly serious about this.
I dont see any other “fair” method to do it.
Divide it up between humanity.
This would, in the long run, also give a lot of poor countrys a lot of wealth, as the property value of the moon can only rise.
