vintage pinup art by baron von lind

Born in Duluth, Minnesota in the year 1937, Jerry 'Baron' von Lind was the fourth son of Alma & Hjalmar von Lind. His father Hjalmar was born the son of Baron Johann von Lind in a small town outside of Stockholm, Sweden.

After several years in the military Baron embarked on a career in the field of art. That career encompassed several facets of the commercial art field including advertising, editorial art, calendars & portraits. Baron worked his way up through the ranks at studios in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. In doing work for several calendar companies including Shedd-Brown and Brown & Bigelow he came in contact with some of the legendary pin-up artists of that time...Gillette Elvgren, Frtiz Willis & Bill Medcalf. Inspired by these greats, Baron pursued a style reminiscent of these immortal artists...which he continues to this day in his studio in southern California. The renewed popularity of this vintage art has inspired him to create new and exciting images for today's collectors. He paints in oil on canvas...trust me these luscious ladies look even more delectable in real!
