First previewed at this year's Game Developers Conference, Lost Winds will be a title to watch out for on the Wii in the upcoming months. Although I'm totally looking forward to the much hyped Grand Theft Auto IV, I do like a nice, friendly Nintendo game to have some fun with. Lost Winds has you playing as Taku as you navigate your way through the world of Mistralis. In this world, you are trying to find and piece together shards of a spirit stone with the help of the wind called Enril, which you also have control over. Using the nunchuck to direct Taku, and the Wiimote to aim Enril's breezes, you not only help Taku jump, but can push over rocky obstacles, light torches and spray water.

Nintendo's popular Wii game console will displace Microsoft's Xbox 360 as the new-generation game machine, iSuppli said Thursday.

The market researcher forecasted that the global installed base of Wii game consoles will rise to 30.2 million units in 2008, up from 18 million in 2007, putting it ahead of the Xbox 360's projected 25.7 million units.

The Wii is already riding a wave of popularity that saw it win the greatest growth among new game consoles last year, according to iSuppli figures. There were only 3.2 million units in people's homes at the end of 2006, jumping to 18 million at the end of last year.

Anything can be made from LEGO including the next gen consoles.

Supreme Factory Ltd. was found with over 10,000 products which included game copying devices and mod chips. These devices allow Wii owners to illegally copy games and use them on their Wii video-game consoles.

This isn’t the first time Nintendo has gone after companies that try to rip them off. In 2005 they were awarded $5 million from a Hong Kong court and they had also been awarded $7 million from an US judge in 1999 because Bung Enterprises Ltd manufactured devices that ripped off Game Boy and Nintendo 64 games.

Nintendo knows that the best way to keep a product hyped up is to make sure said product is difficult to get. If there's a shortage, that must mean that lots of people want them, and you'd better buy yours before someone else beats you to it! Right? While Nintendo has had plenty of time to ramp up production of the Wii, and with Japanese sales lagging, they're still saying there's gonna be a shortage here in the States this holiday season, going back on their word from a couple weeks ago.

Enterprising Japanese hackers custom made this fashionable open-fingertip glove with built in Wii controller and finger triggers; make sure you check out the video of it in action.
