Careful to avoid its fearsome claws, he managed to get it into a bag and raise it to the surface.

Why kill it? Crabs that large and old have notoriously tough and sour meat. Or is it because you fancy for the whole 5 seconds your lads telling you how “bloody neat” it is? Just think if your dumbass left it there, it would have gotten BIGGER and others who came after you, if they had any sense, would be able to see it alive. I hope you have diarrhea for a month if you eat the damn thing.
